Wiggles Eco-Topia is an educational channel to assist families and our wider community in developing their own sustainability practices and there by support the development of young minds.
Brought to you by Wiggles and Giggles Wentworthville Child Care Centre, this initiative began from everyday conversations with our families who often talked to our sustainability leaders to collect and share ideas for sustainability. We believe children’s growth and learning can be achieved to its highest potential when families and educators work in partnership and therefore, it is crucial to equip families with adequate tools to share our knowledge.
Raquel Moran our Sustainability Leader is an active member of the Wentworthville Community Gardens and has a passion for developing sustainability. Meenakshi Srinivas a qualified horticulturist of 20 years is also part of our Sustainability team together they impart their wisdom on us.
As the series progresses, the episodes will cover topics such as worm forming, composting, plating for the season, rearing chickens, rainwater collections and supporting children to reduce, reuse and recycle.
